Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. She was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. Although she was struggling financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut as Rachel's Room's principal character. The television film Murder in Greenwich that she appeared in, where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes playing Shannon. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in the episode Californianation of the 6th Season. She plays Faith as a groupie, and also a muse to the stars who captures the eye of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. As a part of the Gyllenhaal Family she's the younger sister to actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began in the teen years with minor parts in a few of the films of her father and starred together with her brother in cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Later, she was as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise in both of her roles as a lead character in Secretary (2002) as well as in Sherrybaby (2006), an erotic romance drama drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). She was also nominated by the Golden Globe Award.
