Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress best known for her performances in film productions such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only daughter of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the world of show business early, and ended up performing lead roles in various television dramas by the time she turned 16. She was praised for her performance of Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The other Oscar nominated movies featuring the female diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra has appeared in many important international and national productions.
