Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved to the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives and is a teacher and performer because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana is a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and love for traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation, to help keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
